Some of the benefits of have cybersecurity programs in business are that they better protect the company as well as the consumers of that company, the information that is being processed through the company can be better protected by having a separate company fight to keep the routers, WIFI, and everything else safe from bugs and hackers whom are trying to hurt the company. Some more benefits would be the budgeted portion for the programs always outweighing the costs/cost of the program itself. It is said that about 10% of a company’s budget is spent on the cybersecurity programs and they will always outweigh the possibility of losing everything that a company has built to someone who can erase all of it. Some of the costs can include the most obvious of all of them: the cost. The continuous payments that have to be made to the programs can build up and companies may want to weigh their budgeting differently if they fall into a spot where they can no longer properly afford the programs to protect their business, but they have to remember everything else that it benefits them as well. For a lot of companies a cyberattack can and likely will cost them more than the payments ever will. Another cost could be the lack of knowledge of who they can choose to protect their company as a whole. It could be huge if a company makes a wrong decision and loses everything all because they wanted to cut corners in one area to save an extra buck. Within this program they choose they also have to find ways to train their employees to know how to work with it rather than around it. While these programs may seem like they are costly they are only meant to protect the company and use an outside program that has no bias towards anyone within the company either.
