NICE Workforce Framework

The NICE Workforce Framework provides a comprehensive perspective on the workforce in the field of cybersecurity, which covers a wide range of specializations. The sections under “Protect and Defend,” which concentrate on the implementation and management of security measures, and “Analyze,” which involve an in-depth investigation of cyber risks, are very intriguing to me personally. These are in line with my goal of actively protecting systems and conducting investigations that are comprehensive. I currently work as a junior cybersecurity consultant, where my main responsibilities include gap analysis and internal and external compliance (FDA readiness of medical device cybersecurity).

On the other hand, positions that fall under the “Operate and Maintain” category, which require me to perform mundane duties such as maintaining hardware and software, would not be as appealing to me because I thrive on dynamic challenges and finding solutions to problems.
