About Me

Hello, my name is Zufan Abebe. I work as a cybersecurity consultant at MedCrypt. I help keep medical devices safe and make sure documents follow FDA rules. Before cybersecurity, I worked in healthcare as a pharmacy technician. I saw how important safety is for patients, and that made me want to protect healthcare using technology.

In 2021, I joined the Year Up program. It gave me strong training in cybersecurity. After that, I had an internship at Becton Dickinson (BD), where I worked on keeping medical devices secure before and after they go to market. After my internship, I got a job at MedCrypt, where I help companies find and fix security problems, follow FDA rules, and make safer technology for patients.

Now, I am studying for my B.S. in Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. I like using what I learn in school in my real job. I have experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and following cybersecurity rules.

In the future, I want to keep working in healthcare cybersecurity and help make the world a safer place.
