checklist-essay-1  checklist-essay-2 During my first semester in UNIV 150 I managed to improve on my writing skills.  Writing has never been my strong point, however, after being pointed out on my mistakes i learned to address them.  My strengths happen to be the structures of my essay.  I am able to put my ideas in a well written format that help me elaborate and put more information.  Doing so helps me keep a good flow in my essay and prevent the reader from being side tracked.  My biggest weakness in the beginning of the year was my switch in point of view.  I would occasionally go from 3rd or 1st person into 2nd person which is something you really aren’t supposed to do.  My other weakness relates to comma splices and a few grammar mistakes.  All in all, I’d say that I am also improving on those weaknesses.  So far I have been pretty comfortable with my transition into college.  Being able to choose my schedule for available classes really helps rather than being forced to follow one that is set for all of us.  I was able to learn from my peers and friends that the transition will take some getting used to but I am glad it wasn’t hard for me.
