The video explains how cybercriminals can exploit information people post on social media. When we share details like our location, daily routines, or even personal interests, we may unknowingly give cybercriminals clues they can use. For example, they could guess passwords, bypass security questions, or use social engineering to trick people into sharing more sensitive information. The Social Media Disorder Scale measures behaviors related to heavy use or dependence on social media, and higher scoresĀ  suggest a greater risk of these threats. I had a score of exactly 5 which means that I am technically a disordered social media user which makes sense since I am on social media too often mostly due to bordem. Globally though, social media habits are different cause of cultural values, privacy awareness and how integrated social media is in people’s lives. This video really shows how being aware of what we share online is crucial in saving ourselves from potential cyber threats.
