Prompt: Read this and write a journal entry summarizing your response to the article on social cybersecurity. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2451958825000831
While reading the article, I definitely had moments where I agreed based on personal experience. Social Cybersecurity is very important, and despite our security or what we believe we are immune to, we aren’t. Many people are vulnerable to spam, phishing websites, talking about personal information online, and especially impersonation with AI on the rise. There are so many social facets where people can have their security compromised that it is genuinely surprising, which is why it is equally important to recognize behaviors that could lead to a breach in security. On top of what the paper suggests, people can research creators, know the tells with AI made videos, be wary of sharing personal information online, and more. The article dives deep into these things, and I couldn’t agree more on the findings, especially being someone who fell into believing an AI made video.
