Prompt: Based on your readings related to the BioCybersecurity section of this course, identify possible ethical considerations of CRISPR Gene Editing and explain your position.

There are a few possible concerns with CRISPR gene editing. One is that it can be used for malicious use. An example would be a doctor doing gene editing on a patient and intentionally changing DNA due to personal bias or a bioterrorism attack. Another major concern is with the fact that gene editing is risky. It can have many unintended effects, and those unintended results will lead to potentially harmful DNA being passed on to children. That, paired with it potentially being used with malicious intent, can damage many generations of people. This is something that would be very expensive to fix for not only the patient, but their family as well. While there are many ways that CRISPR can be used for good, there are just as many ways it can be used unethically.
