There is a lot of overlap between criminal justice and cybercrime in the 21st century as almost erverything is online now. The access to technology has made it easier than ever to commit crimes digitally causing more work for the criminal justice system (ie; police, FBI, CIA, etc). One of the major overlaps between these two subjects is the dark web. This is a place where people go to buy, sell, or trade illegal things that is not on the front surface of the internet so it is harder to get to and get caught. If you are caught however you could be facing more jail time as it is likely you commited more crimes than if you had done something in person. Another overlap is evidence, a lot of evidence these days is being stored on computers or hard drives making a digital trail of evidence for law enforcement to find. It is easier than ever for hackers to access our information and steal it for their own intentions thanks to computers. This information again could be sold on the black web or similar sites used for illegal activities. As time goes on I beleive these two topics will overlap more and more as technology will only advance more making it inevitable for bad apples to figure out new ways to commit crimes. This relates to other disciplines because this will affect all disciplines in some way or another. In the medical field, unauthorized access is a problem, in IT or computer science, ensuring you are using a public key and encryption to protect information, or something as simple as business plans or ideas being stolen. Cybercrime will always intertwine in all disciplines of life and as time goes on it will overlap more in even more complicated ways.
