My writing experiences in UNIV 150 throughout the entire course have been much like high school. In weeks six through twelve the writing tasks have been about the same, but adding extra components, such as a persuasive speech. I chose to do mine on why teachers are not paid enough, I was able to take a personal stance on the essay and thoroughly enjoyed writing it. The last essay I wrote I struggled with because the prompt was very vague and required me to look deeper than the words written. I did extremely better on my midterm than the initial writing placement test. Now that I have my original results of the writing placement test and understand the rubric, there is no reason I should not pass the final and continue to the following english class. I plan to use all that I have learned in writing for college success including, but not limited to, grammar, conjunctions, and vocabulary on the final exam.
