Professional Penpal Secured!

Making the connection with my chosen professional penpal was by no means a difficult decision. My chosen penpal, Christopher A. Kidd, is a professional podcaster for a popular Seattle Seahawks podcast called SeahawksMan2Man on Blue Wire, Apple Podcast and YouTube. In this podcast, Chris talks about Seattle Seahawks football with the show’s host, Michael-Shawn Dugar of the Athletic. Christopher was my first option because of the mutual connection we’ve developed over the years. Christopher Kidd is an intelligent individual that I created a relationship with through online. Through my very own professional Seahawks sports account, Seahwkrealm on Instagram, I messaged Christopher one day, explaining to him how I was a frequent listener of the SeahawksMan2Man podcast, as well as his radio work for 93.3KJR FM. Since then, we’ve followed each other and developed a close relationship that has only grown stronger through the years. Through extensive research, I learned that Christopher Kidd graduated from Washington State University and has lived in the Pacific Northwest for a good portion of his life. Christopher Kidd uses Instagram and X as his main avenues of communication as both a podcaster and sports blogger. On the X platform, Chris uses the site to primarily plug his work from the SeahawksMan2Man as well as extensive information about the Seahawks and the Washington State Cougars. For the Strategic Communication plan, both Christopher Kidd and I both agreed that it would be best to do something related to the Seattle Seahawks since it’s a strong topic we both happen to share in common in the sports communications world. To be more specific, Chris and I decided to create a marketing proposal campaign that is centered around the idea of working to improve/generate more traffic towards the SeahawksMan2Man podcast, with intentions of getting more and more Seahawks fans to recognize and give the podcast a listen.
