CIA Triad: The CIA Triad is the foundations for cybersecurity. CIA stands for confidentiality, integrity, and availability, which is the common model for cybersecurity jobs nationwide. The triad includes policies that should be implemented to minimize threats to information systems.

SCADA Systems: SCADA systems are computerized systems that control critical infrastructure. This software provides data for supervisors in remote locations to ensure that the infrastructure they are monitoring can safely operate.

Article Review from Cybersecurity and Social Science: I decided to include this paper because it is a review of an article that focuses on how AI is used in the criminal justice system. There were aspects of the article that I related back to this class, specifically how AI is used in the medical field using biometric data like fingerprints and DNA. The article also talks about different psychological techniques used to anticipate and analyze behavior patterns among previous offenders to assess the who is likely to commit crimes after their release or people without a history of crime who are going down that pathway.

Documentation: While talking about critical infrastructure, there was a conversation about the importance of proper documentation so other coders, or even people who don’t know much about coding, can understand what a program does. I decided to add it in because it explains how this particular job in cybersecurity impacts society as it implements the social sciences.
