My name is Stacy Funches and I am interested in Cybersecurity technology because I know it is the future and I want to be a part of it. Whether we like it or not technology and AI are the keys to our future. No matter what industry you are in you will be affected by technology and AI so there are many opportunities to work in your desired field. That also means that there are a lot of new opportunities for crime and scams to be rampant, and I want to do something about that. I want to work with Law Enforcement to manage the cyberspace and protect people from threats seen and unseen. I know that even the way we fight wars will be different, the new battlefield is the cyberspace. With power grids and infrastructure being the new targets and drones being the soldiers. I just want to keep my family, community, and country safe, and I know this is the best way I can help. While also educating people on all things cyber as we embark on this technological adventure. To complete this goal I plan on receiving my bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security and then acquiring my Project Manager certification so I can start managing cyber projects. After a few years of cyber project managing and building my resume, I plan on applying to work at Homeland Security. Another avenue I have thought about taking is once I graduate with my bachelor’s in Cyber Security joining the military and going to officer school and staying in for about 8-10 years to receive top security clearances so I can work on special projects. These are just my plans for now but hopefully, they will become my reality, and that all starts with passing this class first try.
