Welcome fellow readers, I will be telling you why I am interested in cybersecurity technology and how it all started. Growing up I had always wanted to be a police officer. Protect those who could not protect themselves and stop the bad guys who thought violence was the answer. Now, with everything going on it changed my perspective and made me want to change my career goal. Before starting my first year of high school, I had a long talk with my old tutor about the expectations and or goals that needed to be set so I could pass high school with no problem. One late-night drive home from getting food we were listening to the radio and heard something about cybersecurity and jobs opening in several ways. I had gone back to do some research and saw the amount of money that was offered to be a cyber specialist. At first it was all about the money, but I was young so that is all I cared about. Getting into my junior year, I had taken a cyber class and I loved it! Typing in codes and learning the basics of what codes to use for certain events was incredibly fun. I had only done that for a year and everything we did in the class was bigger than just money. However, even though I desire cybersecurity as my career goal I have not decided exactly what positions I could do because there are so many jobs or positions that are opening in IT. Another reason I chose to do cybersecurity was because I have always enjoyed using technology and you have the choice to work from home or come to work. I am still a novice in this field, but with just the right teacher I can achieve many things and one day teach those the way of the white hats.
