Explain how the principles of science relate to cybersecurity.

  1. Relativism- The concept that all things are related
  1. Objectivity- Scientists need to be neutral, not opinion based

when doing studies or research

  1. Parsimony- Keeping scientific explanations as simple as

possible.

  1. Empiricism- Scientists can only study things that are real to the

senses.

  1. Ethical Neutrality- Ethical standards must be adhered when

conducting research

  1. Determinism- A principle of science that means behavior, is

caused by preceding events.

As some of the principles do closely relate to cybersecurity while some don’t. Determinism is one that goes great with cyber security because that can be as simple as a company striving to upgrade security or preventing any breaches. Empiricism is an example of a principle that doesn’t relate to me.  Studying things that are only real to the senses, I don’t see how that correlates well within cybersecurity.
