LInux System for Cybersecurity

Learned the basic operations in major Linux distros for cybersecurity using both
graphical interface and command-line interface. Gained valuable insight about basic installation
and configuration, file systems management, shell scripts, and user authentication in Linux
systems.

Met the following learning objectives:

• Learned basic concepts and gained insight on different Linux distros, with emphasis on Kali Linux
• Installed and operated different Linux distros locally and remotely (on AWS cloud)
• Learned about ownership and permissions of Linux files and directories
• Performed shell scripting
• Performed essential system administration functions, such as network configuration, process and
  log administration, and software management
• Performed security tasks, such as footprinting, configuring firewalls, and utilized tools in relation to intrusion detection.
