Digital forensics investigators collect, analyze, and report data to be used in a court of law. Digital forensics relates to criminology because investigators and cybersecurity experts can use digital information to solve crimes, or to understand why criminals commit crime. David Teo, the person speaking in the TedTalk, has an interesting career pathway. He explains that rather than going to school, he found his cyber forensics career through joining the IT program at his accounting firm. This is cool to me, because it shows that anyone from any walk of life can become engaged with the field of cybersecurity.
