1. Using torrent services: Any work that is copyrighted is owned by the creators, and they deserve to make income from their work. Using torrent sites to obtain illegal copies of someone else’s work is illegal and you can face a fine.
2. Sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others: Addresses are available online to the public; a simple search and you can find out who owns what. However, posting this information about a person in hopes that others take action to harass and harm them is called doxing.
3. Bullying and trolling: causing someone else emotional pain is morally wrong, and someone can take legal action against you. There has been instances where people were bullied online to the point of taking their own lives.
4. Faking your Identity: Identity theft is a crime. Catfishing itself might not be illegal but if you pretend to be someone else and solicit money from victims that is a crime.
5. Illegal Searches on the internet: internet searches for things like how to make a bomb, or hire a hitman consist of illegal activities and will get you flagged and monitored by authorities.
