Multiple reasons- many factors can contribute to one’s motives or interest in committing cybercrime

For Money- Financial gain makes sense to me because the reward is tangible.

Revenge- Settling a score with someone can be a rewarding feeling.

Entertainment- It may be fun to see the extent of what you can accomplish. This may provide some amusement and may be even a challenge.

Recognition- gaining notoriety can boost one’s ego and self-esteem.

Boredom-many people become victims of cyberbullying because they don’t have anything better to do, so they engage in activities online that can put them at risk without knowing, and cybercriminals take advantage of these people.

Political- makes the least sense to me because what do you actually gain? I don’t feel like it is anything substantial.
