While taking my digital writing course, I’ve explored the skills of digital writing and the components that make it up, such as skills like creating digital works, including flyers, emails, slideshow presentations, etc. I’ve also explored the usage of artificial intelligence within the career field I hope to pursue and formed a better understanding of multimodal projects and work, which has caused much less worry and anxiety over the term.
The first project I worked on for this class was a tutorial on a digital skill of my choice, and I chose making a flyer. I enjoy making flyers and I’ve been making them since I was in middle school. I often help my friends with making them if they ask and felt I was knowledgeable enough on the topic to provide a tutorial to it!
For my final project, I’ll be making a multimodal essay on the history of the band Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac has a history that’s almost as infamous as their music, and whenever I meet someone who hasn’t heard about it, I’m eager to teach them! I knew this would be a great topic to make a multimodal project on because of the possibilities to use various modes, such as text, videos, photos, and audio files.
