My name is India Henry. I am a Cybersecurity student at Old Dominion University. I grew up in Tennessee where I was exposed to programming courses at a young age. I started to learn how to code on code.org at nine years old and haven’t stopped since. I started to look into the cyber world more seriously in high school where I took classes to advance my skillset. My junior year of high school I took Coding I: coding in Python and intro to JavaScript. My senior year of high school I took Coding II: coding in JavaScript, introduction to C#, and video game design; I also took AP Computer Science Principles: basic programming and networking as well as app development. I decided that while I spent a lot of my life in the programming world, that isn’t what I wanted my future to be, but I still wanted to do something in the cyber world. Which led me to my current major in Cybersecurity! During my high school years I also picked up a passion for political science, so my current plan is to minor in political science.
