However, the truth of the matter is that all physical and cyber careers relate to the security of our information. It&#8217;s important to consider how our technologies are created and protected physically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Engineering<\/strong>: While seemingly unrelated to the cyberspace, engineering develops economic solutions to technical problems. There are a variety of engineers related to cybersecurity such as computer, electrical, and system engineers. Complex engineering systems have introduced a variety of critical infrastructures to things such as food, energy, and transportation systems.<\/li><li><strong>Information Science<\/strong>: Information science is a disciplinary field that includes anyone who works or learns about management of information in any form, whether that be organization, storing, providing, or modifying. Information science looks at how information is stored, protected, and strategies. Information science directly correlates to the cyberspace because it offers up protocols to protect, manage, and maintain information.<\/li><li><strong>Psychology<\/strong>: Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. It&#8217;s a discipline that embraces aspects of the human experience. The information learned from psychology can be used in a variety of ways in the cyberspace. Six psychology factors related to hacking are: liking people (trust), social proof (behaving how we think others do), reciprocation, commitment, authority (fabricating identity), scarcity.<\/li><li><strong>Criminal Justice \/ Criminology<\/strong>: Criminal Justice is a versatile field that focuses on a variety of criminal related questions, such as how do we detect offenses, how should police respond, what punishments do offenses deserve, and prevention strategies. It focuses on ways to bring justice to crimes. Criminology is the study of these crimes and how and why criminals commit crimes, asking questions such as who commits these crimes, why do they do it, and what patterns in behavior. These two similar fields of study related to cybersecurity because the causation of crime impacted in the cyberspace has its impacts in the physical one.
