  1. Multiple Reasons<\/strong>: People aren’t just black and white. There isn’t one solid reason someone would find motive to commit some sort of crime. Whether it be for money and revenge, or out of boredom and money, there is always more than one reason someone would commit a crime. This is why I put this option as the number one reason someone would commit a crime, because there is no single reason.<\/li>
  2. For Money<\/strong>: If the multiple reasons option wasn’t number one, then money would be. The number one reason I believe people commit crime is because of money. In the cyber world, they can confiscate data and put it up for ransom. And even in the physical world, people steal because they don’t have money or need money.<\/li>
  3. Political<\/strong>: Our world runs on politics. No matter how we look at it, there is some sort of political agenda that someone wants to push. Whether it’s gas, housing, or money, there are politics involved. The reason I put this option up so high is because if someone committed a crime with politics in mind, it would, unfortunately, make sense.<\/li>
  4. Revenge<\/strong>: People will commit crimes to exact some sort of revenge, and in the cyber world, that could be in the form of doxing, giving out viruses, and etc. I put this option towards the middle because while it doesn’t all that much sense to me, it is an option that a lot of people pursue.<\/li>
  5. Entertainment<\/strong>: There are so many ways to entertain yourself, whether it be through watching tv shows, playing video games, or going on a walk. I don’t personally believe that committing a crime put of entertainment makes much sense, but I do understand that there are people out there who get a kick out watching others suffer because of the crime s they commit, which is why it isn’t at the very bottom.<\/li>
  6. Recognition<\/strong>: Nowadays, people are beginning to realize that committing crime isn’t the most ideal way to get your name in history. In fact, most crimes committed are done anonymously to ensure they aren’t caught. Especially in the online environment where most everything is anonymous, which is why it’s towards the bottom.<\/li>
  7. Boredom<\/strong>: The reason I put boredom at the bottom is similar to the reason I put entertainment so low, there are millions of ways for us to cure our boredom so why would someone claim boredom as a motive. I understand it’s entirely possible someone was bored enough to want to “harass” children online, but there are hundreds if not thousands of other ways to go about curing ones boredom. We are lucky enough to live in a world where we can do what we please.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
