I am motivated by work that connects experimental discovery to real-world biomedical applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Post-graduation professional goals:<br>After graduation, I plan to pursue an MD Ph.D, with the goal of combining clinical practice with research. Long-term, I aim to lead a research-oriented clinical career where I can translate fundamental scientific discoveries into diagnostic or therapeutic advances, bridging bench science with patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Internship description:<br>During my internship in the Brachova\u2013Alvarez Laboratory at Eastern Virginia Medical School, I worked on a project investigating how mitochondrial stress influences gene expression and alternative splicing in ovarian tissue. I prepared and analyzed ovarian tissue samples and optimized staining procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Reflection:<br>This internship strengthened both my technical laboratory skills and my ability to think critically about experimental design.
