At the beginning I didn’t quite understand how to how to make my paper flow smoothly. The first essay we did in the class I totally bombed it, I got a “F”. My mechanical issues made it very difficult to understand what I was trying to say. I tended to shift in person a lot by using the word you. Also my word choice was not the best it could be. I always add words in that I don’t need or arrange them in a way that makes it harder to read. My midterm score improved, but not as much as I wanted it to, I received a C. In this essay I shifted in person more than usual. Mostly all the feedback was because of that. My mechanical issues also improved a little bit. I must have received a C because I had enough details and and the purpose of the writing was easy to identify. Overall I feel I understand more how to organize a paper I’m writing. I also know how to get my purpose across by having enough evidence to support my paper. My plans in the continuing weeks in University 150 is to continue learning things. I still need to improve my mechanical issues, not as much when I first started the class, but there is still room for improvement. I also can work on trying not to shift persons while writing. Using one wrong word in a paper can make that big of a difference. My plans for the final is to master all of my weaknesses, so I can get a perfect score. I also plan to just try my hardest. editing-skills-checklist-for-mapping-1-2

Journal Summary Two – My writing skills in week six through twelve have gotten a lot better than where they were when I started this class.
