Being in Univ 150 helped me to developed better writing skills. Univ 150 helped me to establish better strategies\u00a0to set up my essays. For example, having\u00a0four major details about your essay\u00a0can help you to have an idea of what you want to write about. This brainstorming strategy help me to develop a better understanding on how to set up my essay, and to elaborate more\u00a0on my four major points. The class also helped me to not use “you” in the essays because it is informal. I\u00a0learned\u00a0how not to use “you” in my essays by using impersonal pronouns, such as “oneself,”\u00a0“students,” or\u00a0“themselves.” At first I thought this class was a wasted of time, but it really did help me to become better at writing then I was before.
