The Importance of Note Taking

      One of the most important learning strategies students utilize in their academic careers is note taking. For instance, students should read before the lecture because it is hard to listen to what the professor has to say and take notes. Reading ahead will also help oneself to understand the professor better. It also enhances students learning to write down main points when listing to a lecture versus trying to take notes word for word. Most students can not multitask or have a tendency of zoning out while the professor is talking.
