Hello, my name is Ty Carr. I am interested in cybersecurity technology because it relates to my major. My major is Cybersecurity, but I do not know a lot about it. I believe this course will help me learn more about my major and It will also help me determine whether or not I want to keep it. I am even more interested because of the cybersecurity introduction video, which informed me that this course covers cybersecurity and its effects on technology and society. I learned that many professors from all over campus pitched in to make this course happen so I can see it’s a very important course to ODU, which makes me feel that if I don’t take this course I’m missing out. I hope this class can help answer some questions of mine, one of them being what is cybersecurity in definition, of course, there’s the google definition but from what I have learned so far cybersecurity is very complex and covers multiple layers of security. Another question I know this course will answer is if cybersecurity is a very difficult field of study, I have friends tell me that cybersecurity is a very rough major to have and that professors will make it exceptionally difficult for students, but I believe everything is worth obtaining will always require hard work so I welcome the challenge. I have concluded that this course would be the closest to studying full-time cybersecurity and it’s exciting! I am finally getting the full college experience through this class and will try my best to pass this class with an A. This course stood out to me because I’ve been playing on computers my whole life, whether it was through videogames or if I was on social media posting content, what didn’t always think about was that these platforms were all content moderated to fit the consumers needs, which is something crucial to this field of study. In conclusion, I am interested in cybersecurity technology because it will be extremely informative about the vast field of study that cybersecurity covers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
