Welcome to my blog! I am a classroom teacher certified to teach secondary social studies. I am currently in a high school placement but bring 7 almost 8 years of experience to the classroom! I spent my first six years teaching in a diverse middle school and this past year (the COVID year) was my first year teaching high school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my spare time, I teach group fitness classes at a local Pure Barre studio. Pure Barre is similar to Pilates and focuses in on muscle isolation. I have been teaching Pure Barre classes for three years and I am trained to teach all three of our class disciplines.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
In addition to teaching full time in the classroom and teaching part time in a fitness studio, I also chase my almost 2 year old around and my husband who is a Firefighter\/EMT. We live a very busy lifestyle and I am fortunate that I was able to find (and get accepted!) into the ODU online program to pursue my masters in Library Media.
