Nothing in this world is 100% safe everything is vulnerable to something. With that being said cyber workers and technicians are always looking for ways to improve networks. That is where engineers come in and they can help with many different improvements through tests and other strategies. Certain problems that are faced today are in need of a disciplined and structured engineering approach to form any expectation due to the inherent complexity of systems. There has to be a certain level of confidence put into play when dealing with the complexity of today’s systems. System engineering is something that provides a trustworthy foundation for a structured and disciplined approach to secure systems. Trustworthiness is huge in many cases just like in life if I can not trust you it would be hard to work with or be friends with you due to the fact that I will always be watching you. Being able to completely rely on and trust something is a huge part of life. For example, in daily tasks like waking up at a certain time, you have to rely on an alarm, or to drive a car safely you have to rely on the vehicle to start and trust the people around you to follow the law so there are no accidents. In this case, trustworthiness factors can include things like reliability, security, and performance to name a few. Another ability that sticks out that engineers do well in order to make cyber networks safer is their ability to adapt and respond. With the evolution of systems, the engineering effort involves adapting systems and implementing them from one to another. Engineers do much more to make cyber networks safer and will continue to do so with all the advancements and changes in technology they will have to improve and adapt alongside in order to keep providing safe and trustworthy environments.
