Five years ago, I mainly relied on the internet and tv to get all of my sports news and information. I wasn\u2019t really big on sports news until I started playing football my sophomore year of high school. That\u2019s when I gained a real interest in actually paying attention to what\u2019s going on in terms of sports news. I would really just turn on ESPN and watch what was happening there but then I started using google more. That was five years ago; but now I have completely changed how I consume sports news and info. Now I use social media to get most if not, all of my info. Twitter is the main thing I use because #1 it\u2019s the best social media app out and its not even close and #2 the way I can interact and tag so many different people at once when going over breaking news and it\u2019s really second to none. I follow accounts like Bleacher Report and BR Gridiron that always have news on what\u2019s happening in sport. And since I always have my phone on me, I\u2019m only a click away from finding out what\u2019s going on. Honestly, I couldn\u2019t even really predict how our consumption of sports news and media would change in the next five years if I\u2019m being honest with you. But if I had to guess, I\u2019d say we\u2019re leaning more towards streaming being how we get most our media because it\u2019s taking over right now as we speak. Twitter will still be here and I expect twitter to be monetized later on too. I expect them to start charging us for for access to key information and I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if they actually did it. But that would be a good thing because of how many people use the app and the money they would make from that but bad because of the backlash they would get from being money hungry but that\u2019s a conversation for a different day. I don\u2019t think I would change anything in the sport communication landscape as of right now because I honestly like how things are right now and I\u2019m contempt with where we\u2019re at. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
