The United States is constantly under various different types of cyber security attacks. Being the world leader in science and technology puts a heavy target on your back. Cyber criminals and other competing countries are always looking to gain insight into the United states operations. The most amount of cyber attacks we experience are actually domestic threats. Cyber criminals within the United states are more prevalent than ever forcing our government and agencies to constantly improve our cyber security. The United States also faces cyber threats from other world powerhouses like China and Russia. These attacks look to gain intel into U.S operations and elections. It is vastly important that the United states looks to counter these measures through cybersecurity so we can keep the privacy of this county intact. Over 2,200 cyber attacks occur daily in the United States plaguing citizens and government officials. This is more than any other country experience’s in the world. These attacks can lead to a loss of data, financial theft, and identity fraud. Some of the main types of cyber attacks the United States struggles with are phishing, denial of service, and hacking. \u00a0All of these target different branches of our government\u00a0 institutions and should be taken extremely seriously. They also target United states citizens directly and impact their day to day lives. Having this many cyber attacks in our country can be looked at as a negative, however this is simply a trade off for being the world leader in science and technology. We have the best of the best when it comes to this field so naturally we will experience the most amount of attacks.
