With advances in Cloud Computing, infrastructure is readily available via Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). If one is not using Cloud Operating Systems such as OpenStack in private Cloud then setting up Database (procurement, setup, and administration) poses its own cost. Also a single Database may not suffice requirement of different types of applications, so choosing\/managing multiple databases could pose another cost factor due to resources required for each specific Database used in organization.<\/p>\n
DBaaS (Database-as-a-Service) is an appropriate technology to use in this scenario. DBaaS provides choice of Database in Cloud just by few clicks and there is no overhead cost of procurement, setup, and administration. DBaaS benefits from Cloud infrastructure so security\/scalability is not an issue in this environment and organization privacy policies are easily enforced.<\/p>\n
