For my Quest, I wanted to create something that connects to what I actually want to do in the future with baseball. After talking with my sport professional penpal Ryan, I came up with an idea focused on helping players with recruiting and development, both for high school players trying to get to college and college players trying to get to the next level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main idea is to create a showcase and media plan that helps players get seen while also improving their skills. A lot of players have talent but don\u2019t always know how to get recruited or what coaches are really looking for. This would give them a better chance by combining both development and exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event would be a one or two day showcase where players go through drills, batting practice, defensive work, and live games. High school players would be able to perform in front of college coaches, and college players could get looks from scouts. Along with that, there would be a media side where players get videos made like highlights, swings, fielding clips, and game footage. That content could be used for recruiting and shared on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Promotion would be mostly through social media and direct contact with coaches and programs. The goal is to keep it simple but make sure the right people see it. Ryan helped me understand how important it is to be seen and how much communication matters in the recruiting process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This project connects to me because I\u2019ve been through it and still am. I know how competitive it is and how important it is to stand out.
