The way I follow sports has definitely changed over the last five years. Back then, I mostly watched games on TV and caught highlights later on ESPN. It was pretty straightforward. If a game was on, I watched it. If not, I waited to see the recap.

Now, I still watch live games, but I get most of my updates from my phone. I check scores, watch highlights, and see reactions on Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube almost immediately. I do not really wait for full recaps anymore because the biggest plays are everywhere within seconds. I also pay more attention to athlete interviews and podcasts, which makes sports feel more personal than just watching a broadcast.

Five years ago, social media was not my main source for sports. It was more of an extra. Now it is probably the first place I look. It is faster and easier, especially when I do not have time to sit and watch an entire game.

In the next five years, I think sports will continue moving toward streaming and digital platforms. Cable will probably matter less, and short clips will keep growing because people want quick access to highlights. I also think fans will have more control over how they watch games, like choosing different camera angles or interactive features.

If I could change one thing, it would be how complicated it is to watch certain games. You need multiple subscriptions just to follow one team, which is expensive and frustrating. Making games easier to access would keep more fans engaged.

Overall, the way I consume sports now is faster and more digital than it used to be. It is less about sitting down at a certain time and more about staying updated whenever and wherever I am.
