The fine line between cybercrime and criminal justice has changed so much. There are certainly some connections between criminal justice and cybercrime. Technology plays a huge role in criminality because actually a significant amount of crime is connected to technology. Technology has taken traditional crime and allowed it to evolve into a limitless, borderless entity. Our understanding of the connection between crime and technology. Cybercrime has become so prevalent that a new, digital forensics, has even been developed and investigates cyber, computer, electronic all these are types of cybercrime that can happen. The criminal justice field has had to reevaluate how they categorize and perceive crime in order to envelop the cyber aspect of it. Technology has so much to do with this also. Tech has a lot to do with cybercrime and even just criminal stuff in general. There are a lot of technology methods. For example, having fingerprints as a thing to log in to. What makes more sense is the need for criminal justice to develop a more advanced cybercrime.  When a crime happens, that is when the technology aspect comes in. The crime is identity theft, where a person’s information is being stolen by someone else’s identity and their financial information and used for personal gain. The Internet provides a certain level of disassociation and anonymity to such a crime and can be committed. That’s when the cyber aspect comes into play in my opinion. Cybercrime is not victimless and is considered the largest threat to financial institutions, the government, investors, corporations, and educational institutions. Cybercrime is a thing to ends up happening more online or on a type of server. A crime as in criminal justice can be something out in public, then having to include cybercrime into it to get solved. If you commit an act of cybercrime, you are breaking the law and will be held accountable for your actions through the criminal justice system, so it does have a huge part do to with both cyber and criminal.
