There are so many ways you can tell right away if your computer is safe or if it’s not safe. The first, most basic, but important thing is noticing if your computer has a password before getting access to anything inside your computer. Having a password is the biggest, most significant thing to have to keep everything in your computer safe and not get anything stolen or even getting hacked. Something that I didn’t even know is the software updates on your computer. Makes sure to always have your computer up to date with the newest update always.

However, if you’re a forgetful person there is a setting on your computer where you can have your updates to be done automatically you just get a notification saying your computer will update at this time. Having this on your computer prevents an exploit that someone could you to access your system and do very bad things to your information.

Another thing is to try to avoid using public places, internet services if you can. If you have to use a public service, you should make sure to create a secure connection for yourself, by utilizing a virtual private network. A virtual private network allows the user to encrypt their traffic. However, Once the user
is done with the public connection, they should disconnect their device from the network immediately. Something that is very important is to never use any websites that are unknown. Always use a secure network or website if you’re out in public, just to be on the safe side.

You can however also test your firewall to ensure you are keeping hackers from doing any type of cyberattacks on your system. You always want to make sure you have the right settings to keep hackers out of your system. Not only that, but you also want to make sure you delete files permanently. There are ways to retrieve those files from your computer’s hard drive, even if you just delete them.
