Nowadays our information can be stored so easily in any type of system or application. For example, if you’re using an apple product your information is easily saved to the cloud or any automatic app you have to save files. If you are on an android your information gets saved to google files or the app you have to save files. Four ethical issues I found are. 1. inappropriate use of data,2. keeping an individual’s information longer than necessary,3. selling customers’ information to other companies without permission,4. not announcing data breaches that deal with customers’ personal information. If stuff like this happens to a certain company or business it automatically ruined their reputation and they will no longer have people using their application or whatever source they use. That would happen because they won’t have trust In them knowing they sold individuals’ information to other third parties without permission. There are ways where a person can prevent this from happening. One way I read about was by asking certain questions before actually putting your information out there. How my data will be stored, who will have access to my data, and what security measurements have been taken to store my data. If you ask these questions they have to give you an answerback. For, example every time you log in to your medical information and create an account they have security questions that only you know. So you can also ask them if there will be security questions involved once you start using that source.

There are businesses that have no type of security logins or safety requirements and that’s not good because that’s basically easy access to private information being leaked and stolen. Those questions should always be asked no matter what. If you trust the company or whatever application you’re using never think your stuff will be safe if you’ve never used a source like that. No matter if your data is being collected or if you’re collecting data.
