There is a small overlap between cybercrime and criminal justice. Cybercrime is more technical where criminal justice could be any crime created. Cybercrime is a criminal activity that is carried out through computers and or the internet. Where criminal justice is the delivery of justice to those who have committed crimes. Since technology has advanced more and more every day the line between cybercrime and criminal justice. Well depending on the situation some of the disciplinary actions can be the same between criminal justice and cybersecurity/ cybercrime. Such as conceptualizing cybercrime, explaining cyber offending and victimization, identifying guardianship activities, and so many more. Although most of the cyber law enforcement done in the federal and state units are typically done through local police and get involved. But with cybercrime, there is digital forensics. There are many challenges with forensics such as the diversity of information agents need to know about, the amount of data needed in the search, evidence seizures vary across case types, balancing privacy with the amount of information needed, and cyber offenders adjust to change investigation techniques. But with cybercrime, most of their laws come from the same branch of criminal justice. In conclusion, most cybercrime cases follow the same structure and pattern as any criminal justice case.
