My interest for technology in general started when I was young. It started from elementary and led up to high school because I attended a STEM based school all my life. So I have been using lots of devices and finding out more and more about them as the years have passed. I did not grow an interest for cybersecurity until my 9th grade year of high school when I took a class based on cybersecurity. In all honesty before I took the class, I had no idea what cybersecurity was or how it worked and why it is so important. As I learned more about it, I began to take interest in it because I love a challenge. I like when I have to think deeply to figure something out rather than it be so easy and takes me no time to get it figured out. Another thing is that IT/tech is expanding rapidly and will soon take over so there will be guaranteed jobs in the cybersecurity field. Also the pay is amazing, I have done lots of research and with a degree, at the start of a job I could be making 100thousand dollars or more. It is not just about the money, cybersecurity is also used to help stop attackers from getting a hold of personal or confidential information and I am all about helping others and keeping them protect. I care many things and I do not like to see anything or anyone get taken advantage of.
