When storing another person’s information, it is essential to keep it confidential between that company/person. Today, hackers, burglars and thieves try to find a way to steal or steal someone’s information, money or even life. Ethically, this is wrong, the four ethical issues that come up are security breaches, system implementation, data inaccuracies and privacy and confidentiality. A data breach involves the risk that someone’s information privacy is made available without permission to access the information. Software such as a firewall is often implemented to protect data integrity. Other ways to improve the security of your data include keeping it up to date, configuring your browser, using password protection software, and encrypting your data. Implementation of a system often gives good results in data protection, but sometimes mistakes happen, such as customer trust, security problems and frustrated service providers. Data errors allow someone to see if the data is correct or inaccurate. There are many times when someone needs to double check records so they don’t mess up someone’s information and leave room for error. Most often data is lost when data is transferred from one mobile device, computer and laptop to another. If someone entered incorrect information that could be falsified and billed, it would hurt someone who doesn’t have the money and just can’t afford it. Finally, privacy and confidentiality are defined as the ability and legal right not to be interrupted, violated or even disturbed unless someone wants to be. Everyone’s information is their privacy and they have the right to refuse or accept the release of their information. Several lawsuits have been filed in the past. Someone needs to be up to date with technical laws and regulations.
