The experiences i have had for the last couple of weeks have been about taking a quiz and working on the midterm and essay four . When i think back to the changes in my writing style from the first 12 weeks to the next 6 i feel that in terms of writing i have learned of most of my mistakes. The quiz was based on material off the book and was mainly common sense plus some outsider knowledge. While essay four required a little bit of research that was like writing for my history class , because i was interpreting the information to my own stance just like i do in history. My midterm score compared to the first essay that i wrote for the class are yards apart. The biggest mistakes in that i made in the midterm were mainly in terms of were to use commas. My second major mistake would be how i did not keep to just one point of view. I switched point of view by using you in my essay where i should have been keeping it more general and less specific. I can improve on this by just reading over my own works in my head to see my own mistakes. Another way i can improve this is by speaking my own words out loud to get an idea of the flow and sentence structure. From what i have read i now know to usually use them before buts , and, and while these are just some mistakes. I plan to achieve success by practicing essays in all my classes and to get a friend to read over them with me. While i plan to pass the final exam by correcting all my mistakes by reading and fixing them by looking at my previous essays then improving on them.editing-skills-checklist-for-mapping-lance-journal-2
