Cybersecurity programs in businesses is a must have if they wish to have a successful business. In order to avoid cyberattacks and losses there needs to be cybersecurity set in place. Hiring a cybersecurity crew or taking cybersecurity measures can cost money but it is well worth it in the long run. If a business does not hire a cybersecurity crew or take cybersecurity measures, then it is very vulnerable to attacks and will lose even more money than the money they would spend on upgrading their cybersecurity programs. Monetary cost is a cost of cybersecurity, but it is well worth it. Another cost would be training workers to adapt to new cybersecurity programs and allowing them to learn, understand, and use these systems. This would cost time and money for professionals to teach workers how to effectively use the new system and understand how it works. Keeping the cybersecurity programs up to date would be another cost. In the world of human viruses, they get stronger and infect humans in different ways. This is the same thing for cyberattacks. As time goes on new cyberattacks become more creative, effective, and stronger over time. Therefore, we need to counter this by constantly upgrading and scanning equipment to battle cybercrime before a brutal cyberattack commences. Cybersecurity programs would not only protect the business but the workers themselves. If a hacker got control to the entire businesses data and information, many peoples addresses, account data, names, phone numbers and even social security numbers could be stolen and used in malicious ways. The cost for cyber security programs may seem a lot to someone who is ignorant to cyber dangers, however it is a lot safer to have a secure program instead of allowing themselves to be toyed with by hackers. The overall benefit of cybersecurity programs outweighs the cost of making these programs and applying them.
