The internet is a relatively new thing to society and the world. Technology is growing at an exponential rate and there hasn’t been enough coverage on it dealing with cyber policies and laws. I believe there needs to be more laws in place such as the ones we have in our constitution, not to limit our freedom, but to make us safer when using technology and the internet. Cyber policy will grow, become more detailed, and have more depth to them as time goes on. Cyber security practices are getting better every day and we can only build off of what we have and what we know. As time goes on we will learn about things that are good and things that are bad and that need to be fixed. This way we can have a route to travel along and be prepared for the future with a better and more secure cyber policy. Like I said the internet is pretty new considering how long humans have been on the planet for. Rules are made because of other people’s actions. Such as a sign that says, “Do not touch” or “Do not sit or climb on,” those signs are there because someone has touched, sat, or climbed something and resulted in a negative effect. To avoid that in the future, signs and rules are set in place. The same thing goes for cyber policies as we go on, we will see negatives and the people who do bad things will only pave the way to a better and safer cyber community. Cyber policies deal with more of an ethical approach such as whether something done was right or wrong. We are currently learning of the wrong things that can occur. That is why cyber policy and laws will always need to be changing and updating like a system updating to be safer from threats.
