One of the most common examples of this is when a displeased employee lashes out at the company whether it\u2019s because they were fired or feels like they deserved something they didn\u2019t acquire such as a promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another example is if an employee was fired from a job before they left they downloaded sensitive information and sell it to rival companies for profit. If that employee authorization was not restricted they could return and continue damaging the company. This would be considered workplace deviance because it is about leaving what the company expects of you. An additional example of deviance is if dissatisfied employees shutting down their security systems in order to leave the company open to attack. That would result in leaving the company at risk of hackers entering the system and stealing sensitive information from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cyber technology has produced new opportunities for people. It is more difficult to find the person when they are behind a computer and doing the harmful acts. Compared to when they are in person and can be caught on a security cameras. This can possibly allow an employee to cause more damage for a longer period of time before getting caught. It is not all bad through because many improvements have been made to prevent and stop this from happening. Generally, cyber technology has created more ways for workplace deviance to take place and has made it easier to do and makes it difficult to get caught.
