Why are you interested in cybersecurity technology?

There are many reasons why I am interested in cybersecurity technology. One reason is because I grew up watching my godmother study cybersecurity. After years of watching her study and graduate as well as grow and develop in her field of study; she now runs her own cybersecurity business and has contracts with multiple people. I am also interested in this field because it is constantly growing. We are constantly developing new ways to protect our important information. Therefore, new jobs are constantly needed for both roles that are current and roles that have yet to be discovered yet. I am interested in protecting Americas cyber network from outsiders trying to hurt our government. There are so many different ways that this can be done. Whether they try to attack our banking systems, internet, health records, records of important people ect. I am not quite sure what position I am most interested in working just yet there are many things that I still need to learn. In addition to that as I previously stated, things are constantly changing, there may be a position that hasn’t yet been developed that may be perfect for me, only time will tell. I have always been interested in technology and things like encryptions and building firewalls being able to know the inside if systems after all of these years will feel so exhilarating. Although I am excited I do expect the courses to be very challenging. Many people say if you are good at math then you will be good in these courses and I am very good at math however I know the courses will be way more demanding than many let on. I can’t wait to see what this class has to offer and can’t wait for you to share your incite into the wild and amazing world that is technology and cybersecurity.
