This purpose of this Q&A is to reflect on my internship experience with Compact Canine Rescue through the Monarch Humanities Internship Academy (MHIA). I describe how my internship supported by the Mellon Foundation, has prepared me for my future career and I highlight how my academic training aided in my success within my internship program.
