How does your major relate to cybersecurity technology?

I am a freshman and I am majoring in Cybersecurity. As a freshman, there is so much to learn within this field that I have never known to exist. I do not have much experience in cyber and do not know exactly what path I want to follow career wise. However I am aware throughout the next four years as an undergraduate that I will discover more about cyber technology and how it relates to different career paths. Currently I am enrolled in an intro programming course, Intro to Object-Oriented Programming, which relates to cyber technology because many careers in Cybersecurity require skills in Java programming. Other course requirements that I need to fulfill will also teach me about the effects of cybersecurity on multiple career paths. For example, I am required to take a course on Cyber Law. That class will teach me in depth how cyber technology has affected the laws in the United States and how laws have been changed or set in place from the growing technology.
