How can you tell if your computer is safe?

I think the only way to know your computer is completely secure is if you recently had its hard drive completely wiped, disconnected from the Internet, completely turned off, and unplugged. Although I honestly don’t think you would really be able to tell if your computer is safe, but you would be able to tell if it is infected with malware. Pop-up messages, your browser’s homepage changing without your input, your computer crashing, your computer becoming slower, and unusual error messages appearing are all signs that your computer has been infected with malware. You could even test your settings by visiting a reputable website or installing software that will do it for you. Even some of these programs can even advise you on what you need to do to improve the security of your computer. Another way is to even test your firewall to ensure that hackers are not able to launch cyberattacks against your system. It is important to make sure you have the proper settings in place in order to keep the hackers out of your computer systems. You should also ensure that you delete your files permanently. Although, even if you delete the files, there are ways to recover them from your computer’s hard drive. Making certain that these files are permanently deleted will prevent hackers from discovering sensitive information about you or gaining access to sensitive banking information. Check your social media settings as well, as this may allow hackers to obtain important information about you. If you don’t have the proper settings, you can find a lot of that simple information on social media. Overall, there is no way to keep your computer completely safe every day if you are not using the most recent anti-spyware, anti-virus, or anti-malware software.
