Computers have made a great impact on the world ever since their creation. They have played pivotal roles in the development of many technologies. These technologies can range from things like space travel to recreation and to medical related things. They have played a major role in just about everything but it is not all rainbows and sunshine when it comes to computers. While they have made the world much safer, they have also created more dangers that did not exist before. Let us start with the ways they have made the world safer. One thing they have improved is education. They improved the safety of it by allowing for communications that would have been impossible otherwise. We saw this in large scale with the shut down of in person schools caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. This communication allowed us to learn from home through apps like zoom. This is safer because minimalizing contact during a pandemic is important and forcing kids to go to school when the pandemic was at its peak would have been disastrous. Another way they make the world safer is by providing the weather. These days many people are on the go and do not have the time to sit down and watch the weather channel on TV. Allowing people to check the weather while away from home is not only convenient but could also save lives. If you live in an area where natural disasters tend to happen knowing when they are coming can allow you to plan ahead which can save your life. A third way computers can make the world safer is by allowing access to medical information. Allowing people to look up their symptoms online to help determine their next step can help save lives and money. On the other hand, three ways computers can make it more dangerous is by allowing for people to cyberstalk you, steal your information, and track you.
