I always thought back to the time I was programming Arduinos in the electronic class in high school. I grew in interest in cybersecurity because, during my time in the Navy, they always emphasize its importance of it. I had to learn all about information assurance and security. How in modern times the frontlines are in cyberspace and not on a battlefield. This started to spark my interest in ethical hacking to help prevent this modern type of warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I started my journey in learning more about computers in 2019 at Tidewater Community College. This is when I realized that my career interest is in cybersecurity. When I took Unix 1 I had a great time learning how to navigate the command-based operating system. I always looked forward to the days of the week when class was and finished my homework the same day it was released for us to do. Then I took classes learning the basic penetrating techniques and operating firewalls as well as how to sniff network packages. I am looking forward to continuing my journey of learning Cyber security at Old Dominion University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
When I was a senior in high school, I took an electronic class wanting to learn about circuit boards.
